Pharmaceutical training is required by the Pharma Industry which in Canada employs more than 60,000 people. Most of them are employed in Montreal and Ontario.

Personnel after pharmaceutical training

pharmaceutical personnel

These people are involved in carrying out different pharmaceutical functions such as Research and Development, Quality control and Regulatory Affairs among others. They all need specialized training.

Many pharmaceutical activities are regulated

The construction and organization of the place where regulated activities is carried out is also under the government oversight. The purpose of all this is to ensure that pharmaceutical products that are effective, safe and of are produced.
The pharmaceutical industry needs people with certain characteristics. These people must have the appropriate mind-set and enough preparation. Without a proper attitude or mind-set, it is impossible to get the work done properly. Personnel need relevant pharmaceutical training to develop the appropriate mid-set. If your company compromises on personnel training it is likely to also compromise on meeting the high standards required by regulatory bodies such as Health Canada or the Food and Drugs Administration. It needs a definite plan on pharmaceutical training.

Personnel, who carry out regulated activities, must have the appropriate qualification, pharmaceutical training, and experience. Thus, a person who manufactures medicines must be trained and qualified to manufacture medicines. Similarly a person employed as quality control technician must be specifically trained to carry out job functions associated  with quality  control.

A person, who serves as a Regulatory Affairs professional, must be trained and qualified to carry out their role.

Certain job functions require defined education. For example, a person in charge of quality control department in Canada needs at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline as well as relevant pharmaceutical training and experience.

Thus, people, who work in these companies, have to be trained and remain current in their fields. They need  to attend at least one annual or bi-annual certification courses.

Everyone, who works in the pharmaceutical industry, needs some pharmaceutical training and retraining to remain current and relevant.
The people, who supervise personnel, must also be qualified along with the people they supervise. They must be qualified by education, training, and experience.

Education and pharmaceutical training must be documented. There must be evidence of how the training and education were obtained. Usually this evidence is provided in form of a certificate or a diploma.
