Dr Job Kiaira is an independent consultant in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and Clinical research. He provides consulting services on pharmaceuticals, medical devices and Natural Health products.
He also helps clients to implement compliance in Good manufacturing practices and Good Clinical practice. He regularly offers online and offline training courses to personnel in the pharmaceutical industry. He is the founder of DCT Regulatory Affairs consultants and Royal Canadian College of Distance Education.
Dr Kiaira spent about ten years at Toronto Institute o Pharmaceutical Technology where he taught various courses in Regulatory affairs and Clinical Research. He was also involved in the design and implementation of several clinical research protocols. He provided regulatory intelligence in various clients’ projects.
Earlier he taught medical and Medical biochemistry to Medical, Dental and Pharmacy students at the University Of Nairobi College Of Health Sciences. Originally Dr Kiaira was trained as a Biochemist. He holds a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry, Master of Science in Biochemistry and Ph.D in Biochemistry.
After PhD he spent about one year at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London in the Laboratory of Professor Allan Fairlamb who is well known for his discovery of trypanothione.
Prior to this he had spent 6 months at International Livestock Research Institute as a visiting Research Fellow where he worked with Dr E. J. Bienen and W.Fish on the biochemistry of Trypanosomes. Dr Kiaira’s research culminated in the publication of several research papers. He has published several research papers, abstracts and edited books and manuals.
